VelSatis Windshield Wipers Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2004 Renault VelSatis owner experienced a complete failure of the windshield wipers, with a diagnostic tool indicating an error. A mechanic suggested the issue might be related to a cable or plug connection. Another owner with a similar problem found a corroded connector to be the cause, which was resolved by replacing it. The original issue was confirmed to be a defective cable, which was repaired at a workshop.

Interesting. No, the rain sensor seemed fine actually, and cruise control works. Just dead wipers. Was yours the same?

Yep, exactly the same! In the end, the mechanic found a corroded connector. They replaced the connector, and all works fine now! I would take it to a workshop to get it checked.

Thanks for confirming! I took it to a workshop like you suggested. Turns out it was a defective cable, just like the error message suggested. Repair cost me 95€ Appreciate your help!

Hey! I had something similar happen on my Vel Satis. Was your rain sensor going haywire too, or was it strictly the wipers?
