Venue brake pedal feedback
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Hyundai Venue diesel owner reported strange brake pedal feedback and questioned if undervoltage could affect various brake components. Another individual shared a similar experience, suggesting that the issue might be related to undervoltage affecting the brakes. The owner took the vehicle to a certified workshop, where diminished braking performance was confirmed, likely due to undervoltage, leading to necessary brake component replacements.

Thanks. Could you elaborate on the 'peculiar sensation' you encountered and whether it was consistently reproducible under varying driving conditions? What was your diagnostic process?

Indeed, I had that feeling that the metal brakes were not responding correctly, especially in winter. I'm no expert, but please let a repair shop take a look at the disc brakes. It's better to be safe than sorry, especially when it involves the brake shoes!

I appreciate the cautious advice. Following your suggestion, I took it to a certified workshop. Diagnosis confirmed diminished braking performance likely due to undervoltage. The repair, including replacement of brake components, amounted to approximately 240€.

I had a similar experience with my Hyundai Venue, must have been some undervoltage back then. I remember a peculiar sensation when applying the brakes. Did you by any chance check if the brake lights are working properly?
