Venue Rain Light Sensor Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Hyundai Venue owner is experiencing issues with the rain-light sensor, causing the auto wipers, headlights, and speedometer dimming to malfunction. The problem might be due to bubbles under the windshield gel pad affecting the sensor. A similar issue was resolved by replacing a faulty sensor, and a workshop visit is recommended for assessment and potential sensor replacement.
Did this summary help you solve your problem?

I haven't seen the bubbles, but I found forum posts about similar sensor issues in other cars. Moisture or air pockets messing with the sensor seemed common. With the error codes and multiple failures, it seemed likely. Anything else I should consider? Worth taking it to a workshop?

Okay, based on that and my experience, the sensor is probably bad. My problem was a faulty sensor unit. Consulting a technician is a good idea. Replacing the sensor cost me about 62€. I'd recommend a workshop visit for assessment and maybe sensor replacement.

Thanks for the advice and sharing your experience. A workshop visit seems right. Your confirmation and resolution give me direction. I'll report back with what they find and hopefully fix this sensor issue. Thanks!

I own a Venue too, not sure of the year right now. Your symptoms sound really familiar. I had similar problems with the rain sensor and auto headlights. How did you figure out the bubbles under the gel pad? Did you see them, or was it from diagnostics? I'm curious if it's the same cause.
