No warning lights at all, which is confusing! If it is the steering angle sensor, is there any way to confirm it without diagnostic tools? Could it be related to coding, or is a full sensor replacement more likely?

The lack of warning lights is strange, but doesn't rule out the sensor. Without proper diagnostics, you're shooting in the dark. I'd lean towards faulty coding first, but a sensor replacement is possible. Either way, you'll probably need a workshop to sort it out properly. Better safe than sorry when it comes to steering!

Thanks! I took it to the workshop, and you were spot on. Turns out the coding on the steering angle sensor was faulty. They recoded it, and everything's back to normal. Cost me 195€, which isn't too bad. Appreciate the help!

Sounds like it could be the steering angle sensor. I had similar symptoms on my old car when that went bad. Increased steering effort and vibrations are classic signs. Any warning lights on the dash?
