Venue uneven idle and error
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Hyundai Venue is experiencing uneven idling and an error code, potentially due to a defective engine mount. The issue is more pronounced when the engine is cold and at idle. A faulty cable or plug connection is suspected as the root cause. It is suggested to have a workshop inspect the engine mounts and electrical connections, as a faulty connection might be sending incorrect data, leading to the uneven idling.

Thanks for the quick reply. The vibration seems to be more pronounced when the engine is cold, and it does lessen somewhat as the engine warms up. Regarding engine speed, it's most noticeable at idle. I haven't really observed it much at higher RPMs. Did your issue manifest similarly?

Affirmative. My experience mirrors yours. The cold start vibration was the giveaway. Given the error code and the symptoms, I strongly suggest having a workshop take a look at the engine mounts, especially the electrical connections to them. It's possible a faulty connection is sending incorrect data, leading to the uneven idling.

Understood. I appreciate you confirming my suspicions. I'll book it in for a check-up and ensure they focus on the mounts and connections. It ended costing me around 95€. Thanks again for your insight!

I also drive a Venue, and your symptoms sound suspiciously similar to a problem I had a while back. Engine mounts can definitely cause vibration issues, and the error code points to something electrical. Is the vibration constant, or does it change with engine speed? Also, have you noticed any difference in vibration levels when the engine is cold versus when it's warmed up?
