Venza electrical malfunctions

I'm pulling my hair out! I've got a 2008 Toyota Venza with a gasoline engine, and I'm experiencing some seriously weird electrical issues. My Venza has 173015 km on it. Basically, the error memory is full of codes, I'm getting general electrical malfunctions all over the place, and the navigation system is completely dead. I'm thinking it might be a software glitch in the control unit programming, something implausible throwing everything off. Anyone else ever deal with something like this? Any ideas before I end up at the mercy of the dealership?

Sounds familiar. I had similar gremlins in my Venza not too long ago. Is it throwing any specific codes or just a bunch of random errors?

Yeah, there's a ton of them! It's like the whole system is confused. I'm getting codes related to the navigation, the audio system, even some for the door locks. Did you ever figure out exactly what was causing it on your Venza? And how did you fix it?

Yep, that's the same mess I was in. Turned out to be exactly what you suspected: a software issue in the control unit. Best bet is to get it checked at a workshop; a software refresh should fix it.

Thanks a bunch for the confirmation! I was dreading a huge repair bill, but a software refresh sounds much more reasonable. I'll take it to my local mechanic and let them check and refresh the software. The estimate is around 240€. Hopefully, that'll be the end of it. Really appreciate the help!
