Venza handsfree microphone failure
Summary of the thread
A 2009 Toyota Venza is experiencing a hands-free microphone failure, making telephony impossible and storing an error. Restarting the system did not resolve the issue. The problem might be related to the main unit itself, as a similar issue in another vehicle required professional diagnosis and repair. A workshop visit is recommended for a proper diagnosis and potential repair.

Volume control works for other audio, like the radio. But when I try to make a call, there's no output through the speakers, and the microphone is dead. Do you think it's the same issue?

Sounds very similar to what I experienced. It was an issue with the main unit itself, and there wasn't a simple fix. I'd recommend taking it to a workshop for proper diagnosis.

A workshop visit seems like the next step. The estimated repair cost is about 815€. Thanks for sharing your experience; it's been helpful.

I had a similar problem with my 2014 Opel Insignia. Bluetooth connected, but the microphone wouldn't pick up my voice, and voice recognition didn't work. Does your volume control work when you're trying to make a call?
