Venza System Readiness Error After OBD2 Scan
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Toyota Venza Hybrid displayed a system readiness error after an OBD2 scan, likely due to clearing codes during the scan. This can disrupt the system's readiness checks. A suggested solution was to perform a drive cycle, which involves specific driving conditions to reset the system. Ultimately, a visit to a workshop resolved the issue with a computer reset at no cost.

I did clear some codes. What's a 'drive cycle'? Is there a specific procedure for the Venza?

Yeah, clearing codes will do it. It's basically a set of driving conditions the car needs to see to reset everything, especially the exhaust system monitors. Figuring out the exact Toyota drive cycle can be a pain. Easier to just take it to a workshop.

Thanks! I went to the workshop. It simply needed a computer reset. No cost.

Probably. Did you clear any codes during the scan? Sometimes that messes things up. Have you tried doing a drive cycle?
