Veracruz brake booster pressure sensor issue

I have a 2007 Hyundai Veracruz with a diesel engine, and lately, the brakes have been acting up. I'm getting an error message on the speedometer, and the braking power feels really weak. I scanned for error codes, and there's something stored about the brake booster pressure sensor. Could it be related to bleeding the brakes incorrectly after a pad change? The vehicle has 186295 km. Any help would be appreciated.

Summary of the thread

A 2007 Hyundai Veracruz with a diesel engine exhibited weak braking power and an error message related to the brake booster pressure sensor. The issue was suspected to be linked to incorrect brake bleeding after a pad change. The problem was confirmed to be the brake booster pressure sensor, and re-bleeding the brake system resolved the issue.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

I had something similar happen with my Veracruz. Does the brake pedal feel different at all? Like, harder to push than usual, especially at lower speeds? I'd also want to double-check the sensor connections themselves to see if there are any obvious issues before assuming the worst.

Yes, it definitely feels harder than usual to push the brake pedal. Almost like I have to stand on it to get it to stop. I checked the connections that I could easily see, but didn't notice anything obvious. Do you remember what the fix was for your issue?

Sounds very familiar. Given the harder pedal and the error code, it does sound like the brake booster pressure sensor. Honestly, I wouldn't mess with it too much myself. Vehicle safety is important; I'd recommend taking it to a workshop to have it checked out properly if you aren't 100% confident.

Thanks for confirming my suspicion. I took it to a workshop, and you were right, it was the brake booster pressure sensor. Apparently it was related to the brake system needing re-bleeding as I suspected. Cost me 90€ to get it sorted. All good now!
