Veracruz Overvoltage Fault Codes
Summary of the thread
A 2011 Hyundai Veracruz diesel is experiencing overvoltage fault codes and random system failures, with a weak battery and electrical issues noted. The problem may stem from a heavily discharged or defective battery or a faulty voltage regulator. It is suggested to check the alternator output, as a faulty voltage regulator was identified as the cause in a similar case. After diagnostics at a workshop, the voltage regulator was confirmed as the issue, and replacing it resolved the problems.

Good shout about the alternator! I don't have a multimeter handy at the moment unfortunately. Was your Insignia throwing similar fault codes and causing weird system failures? I am just trying to figure out how urgent this is

Yep, codes galore and systems acting possessed. Ended up being a faulty voltage regulator. I'd get it checked ASAP to avoid frying anything else. If you are not able to check yourself, I would go to a workshop. Better safe than sorry.

Cheers for the advice! I took it to a workshop and after some diagnostics, they confirmed it was the voltage regulator. New one fitted and all seems good now. Cost me 290€ but now the car is running perfectly again!

Overvoltage sounds nasty. Had a similar issue with my old Opel Insignia. Check your alternator output; it might be the culprit. What voltage are you seeing when the engine is running?
