Interesting! So, it wasn't ignition timing in your case? How did you figure out it was the crankshaft sensor and not the camshaft one? Did you do any sensor testing to narrow it down?

Nah, no ignition timing weirdness. Honestly, I'm no mechanic, I took it straight to the shop. They ran diagnostics and told me it was the crankshaft sensor. They said both camshaft and crankshaft sensors can cause engine misfire and stalling, so it's tricky. Best to get it checked properly!

Appreciate the input. Took her to the shop, and you were spot on about getting it checked. Turns out it WAS the camshaft sensor and the encoder wheel was indeed defective. Cost me 695€ to get it sorted. Runs like a dream now. Thanks again!

I had similar issues with my Veracruz! Rough starts, stalling... drove me nuts! Did you pull the codes? For me, it was the crankshaft sensor, not the camshaft one. But the symptoms sound crazy similar.
