Verso ABS and Steering Issues
Summary of the thread
A 2011 Toyota Verso diesel is experiencing issues with the ABS light being on, the steering wheel shaking, and difficulty steering, despite tire pressures appearing normal. The problem may be linked to malfunctioning tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) sensors, specifically a defective valve in one of the tires. The recommended solution is to have the vehicle inspected at a workshop, where the issue was confirmed and resolved by replacing the faulty valve.

TPMS sensors? Where are they located? And how can I check if those are really the problem? Never dealt with those before. Is it something I can do myself, or do I need special tools?

The sensors are inside the tires, attached to the valve stems. You'll need a special tool to diagnose them properly. Based on your symptoms, it might just be a defective valve in one of the tires causing the pressure loss and triggering the warnings. I'd recommend taking it to a workshop; they can pinpoint the exact cause.

Thanks a lot! Took it to the shop as you suggested. Turns out you were spot on! A valve was defective and messing everything up. Repair cost me 280€. Appreciate the help!

That sounds familiar! I have a Verso too, and I had a similar issue last year. Did you check the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) sensors themselves? Sometimes, they can malfunction and trigger all sorts of weird errors with the ABS and power steering.
