Verso Central Locking Failure
Summary of the thread
The central locking on a 2012 Toyota Verso diesel stopped functioning, with neither the key fob nor the interior switch working. Despite checking the fuses, the issue persisted, and an error was stored. The problem was identified as a likely electrical fault, specifically a defective cable connection, which was confirmed and repaired by a workshop, restoring the central locking functionality.

I don't have the error code right now. The manual key works on the driver's side door only. No recent work has been done.

The manual key only working on the driver's door and the error code points to a likely electrical fault. Given the symptoms and that you've checked fuses, a defective cable or plug connection is plausible. It's beyond simple DIY. I'd recommend a workshop diagnosis.

I took the Verso to a local workshop, and they confirmed a defective cable connection, as you suggested. The repair cost 95€, and the central locking is now working.

Central locking issues can be tricky. Do you know the specific error code? Have you tried the manual key in the door lock? It could help isolate whether it's electrical or mechanical. Any recent work done, especially involving the doors or electrics?
