Verso engine overheating electric fan issue

My 2015 Toyota Verso with a gasoline engine is overheating. The electric fan doesn't seem to be kicking in. Anyone else had this? Where should I start looking for the fault?

Could be a faulty fan motor or relay. Check the wiring and connections to the fan. A damaged cable or corroded plug can prevent the fan from running.

Thanks! Any specific points I should focus on when checking the wiring? I'm willing to try before going to a shop.

Focus on the connector to the fan motor itself, and the relay controlling the fan. Look for any damage, corrosion, or loose connections. If you're uncomfortable using a multimeter, get it checked by a workshop.

Thanks! Sounds beyond me. The garage confirmed it's a defective cable/plug connection. Repair cost is estimated at 95€. Hopefully, that will sort it! Appreciate the help narrowing it down.
