Verso power window failure after battery change
Summary of the thread
After replacing the battery in a 2018 Toyota Verso diesel, the power windows stopped functioning, and an error was stored. This issue might be due to an unsuccessful window regulator initialization. Attempts to reset the windows manually were unsuccessful, suggesting that professional recalibration using diagnostic equipment may be necessary. A workshop visit has been scheduled to address the problem.

Thank you. I attempted a reset procedure involving holding the switch, as you suggested, but it didn't work. I also checked the door panel and window controls for any obvious issues, but found nothing. Are there any other specific steps I might be missing?

It's possible the regulator needs professional attention. In my case, the reset didn't work either. Eventually, the car had to go to the workshop to have the window regulator properly initialized and recalibrated using diagnostic equipment. I'm afraid you might have to do the same.

I appreciate your confirmation. I suspected a workshop visit might be necessary. I have already scheduled an appointment to address the window regulator, and it will cost around 290€. Thank you again for your help!

I had a similar problem with my Toyota Verso, though I can't recall the exact year. After the battery was disconnected, the windows went haywire. Have you tried any basic window reset procedures, like holding the window switch up for a certain duration after fully closing the window?
