Verso transmission issues

Thank you for your response. I have checked the fluid levels and there were no issues, and I have also read the error memory. It seems to point towards the transmission control unit as the likely culprit. Are you able to provide more details about the issues you experienced with your Verso?

Yes, absolutely. In my case, the symptoms were almost identical to yours. Error codes pointed to the TCU, and after some digging, it turned out to be the culprit. My suggestion would be to take it to a workshop for a proper diagnosis and repair. Those electronic issues can be tricky and you could end up damaging something else if you attempt a repair yourself.

Thanks for the advice. I took the car to a local workshop and they confirmed the control unit was defective. Repair cost was around 1000€. I appreciate your help in diagnosing the issue.

Sounds like you're having a rough time! I had similar issues with my Toyota Verso. No paddle shifters, and the shifts were awful. Does it feel like you're driving a tractor sometimes? It could very well be the transmission control unit. Before jumping to conclusions, have you checked the basics like fluid levels and error codes?
