Interesting! I haven't checked the fuses yet, honestly didn't think of that. Do you remember which fuse it was on your Astra? I'm wondering if there's a specific one related to the ignition system I should focus on.

I can't remember the exact fuse number, sorry. It was definitely related to the engine management system, though. Honestly, after messing around myself for a bit, I gave up and took it to my local mechanic. They found it pretty quickly. Probably best to get a professional to check it out.

Thanks for the advice! I checked the fuses, and you were right, the fuse for the ignition system was blown. Replaced it for 52€ and the car is running smoothly again. I appreciate the help!

Sounds familiar! I had a similar thing happen with my old Opel Astra a few years back. Engine would randomly die on me. Did you check the fuses? I know it sounds simple, but a defective fuse can cause all sorts of havoc with the car electronics.
