Vezel Weak Start Flickering Lights
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Honda Vezel with 40,000 km is experiencing weak starts and flickering lights. Despite the battery testing fine, a faulty battery sensor is suspected as the cause. A defective sensor can lead to parasitic drain, affecting battery performance even when the car is off. The recommended solution is to have the battery sensor tested and replaced if necessary, which resolved the issue in this case.

Battery's original, so just over a year old. Tester said battery health was okay, but didn't specifically mention the sensor reading. If the sensor is faulty, would that drain the battery even when the car is off?

A faulty battery sensor can indeed lead to parasitic drain, impacting battery health even when the vehicle is not running. Given your symptoms and the original battery, the sensor is the most probable cause. I would recommend taking your Vezel to a trusted workshop and requesting a dedicated battery sensor test. I had the same issue, and it turned out to be a defective sensor.

Cheers. Sensor was the issue. 315€ fixed it. Appreciate the insight.

I drive a Vezel too. Weak start and flickering lights, you say? It does sound like the battery, but you had it tested, right? How old is the battery, and what was the battery sensor reading during the test? A failing sensor will certainly cause those symptoms.
