Viano Diesel Brake Pedal Feedback
Summary of the thread
The initial concern was unusual feedback from the brake pedal in a 2013 Mercedes Viano diesel, suspected to be due to worn metal brakes or possibly undervoltage affecting the brake system. A similar issue was shared by another driver, who experienced vibrations in the brake pedal, suggesting checking brake pads and rotors. Upon inspection at a workshop, it was confirmed that undervoltage was affecting the ABS, causing premature wear of the disc brakes and brake pads.

Thanks for your response. Could you explain the 'weird' feeling you experienced? Was it consistent, or did it occur under specific conditions?

Yeah, sure thing. It was mostly when I was slowing down from higher speeds. It felt like the ABS was kicking in early, but not quite. Honestly, I'd get it checked. It turned out I had a bunch of stuff going on with my brakes.

I appreciate your input. I took it to a workshop, and it seems undervoltage was indeed affecting the ABS, leading to premature wear of the disc brakes and brake pads. The repair was 240€.

Whoa, that sounds familiar! I drive a Vito, and I had something similar happen a while back. My disc brakes felt super weird, almost like they were vibrating. Have you checked your brake pads and brake rotors?
