Viano engine mount issue

My 2013 Mercedes Viano with a gasoline engine is exhibiting some concerning symptoms. It has clocked 170668 km. I've noticed uneven idling and, upon checking, there's an error stored related to the engine mount. I suspect a defective engine mount. From what I gather, the likely culprit is a faulty cable or plug connection. Has anyone experienced similar issues? The diagnostic points to a potential repair cost of around 95€. Could this be a case of mount failure or just typical mount wear?

I have a Mercedes Viano as well, and I encountered a comparable situation some time ago. If the error memory specifically points to the engine mount, I would suggest inspecting the wiring harness and connector leading to the mount itself. Are you able to access the diagnostic trouble code?

Yes, I can access the diagnostic trouble code. What exactly should I be looking for when inspecting the wiring harness and connector? Any specific signs of damage or corrosion?

In my instance, the connector had become slightly corroded, leading to an intermittent connection. While cleaning it offered a temporary solution, the issue resurfaced. Therefore, I recommend consulting a qualified workshop. They possess the tools and expertise to perform a thorough diagnosis and implement a reliable repair.
