Wiring integrity is a valid point. I will examine the loom. However, given the stored error code, is it probable that the switch itself is the primary culprit?

The error code definitely points to the switch being the prime suspect. However, a broken wire in the loom can send misleading signals, so it's worth double-checking. If the wiring looks good, then yes, it's almost certainly the switch. Honestly, I'd just take it to a reputable workshop. They'll diagnose it properly, and you won't be chasing ghosts.

Acknowledged. Wiring was intact. Replaced the power window switch; functionality restored. Confirmed defective switch. Repair cost was indeed 200€. Thank you for the insights.

Sounds familiar. I had a similar problem with my old Opel Astra. The window control went haywire. The window mechanism was completely unresponsive. It turned out to be a faulty window regulator switch. It's like a fuse box for your windows, and if one circuit blows, the whole thing can shut down. Have you checked the wiring loom where it passes from the body into the door? They can get brittle and break there. Caused me a headache for a while!
