Viano Vito Air Suspension Nightmare
Summary of the thread
A 2016 Mercedes Viano was experiencing air suspension issues, including failure to lift, leaning, and misaligned low beams. The problem was suspected to be related to a cable or plug issue. After checking for fuses and listening for air leaks, it was found that the issue was a faulty connection to the compressor. Cleaning and reseating the connector resolved the problem, restoring the van's level and correcting the headlight alignment.

Good call on the fuses, I'll check those I listened for hissing, but didn't hear anything obvious I need to get under the van and listen again The compressor sometimes kicks in briefly, then stops Other times, nothing at all It's inconsistent What was the cause of your Audi's issues

With my Audi, it was a faulty relay and a small air leak in one of the air lines The relay caused the compressor to act erratically, like you described Chasing air suspension issues can be a pain Given the error messages and compressor behavior, I suggest a proper diagnostic system It might save time and money

Thanks for the advice I had the van scanned by a mechanic It was a faulty connection to the compressor I cleaned and reseated the connector, and everything is working The error code is gone, the van is level, and the headlights are fine The bill was 95€ Thanks again for the help

That sounds rough I had a similar air suspension malfunction with my old Audi A6 It just sunk down Have you checked the fuses related to the air suspension Are they intact Have you listened for hissing near the air struts That could mean an air leak, which would overload the compressor Is the compressor running constantly or not at all
