Vios central locking failure
Summary of the thread
The central locking system of a 2010 Toyota Vios has stopped working entirely, affecting both the key fob and the internal button. The issue appeared suddenly, and initial checks of the fuses showed no problems. Possible causes could include a defective cable or plug connection. The suggested solution is to take the car to a workshop for professional diagnosis and repair.

Thanks for the quick reply! It happened suddenly, not gradually. I did check the fuses in the fuse box – all seem fine. Any particular fuse I should double-check related to the key fob?

Yeah, mine was sudden too. It sounds like you've done the basic checks. Honestly, while it could be a loose connection somewhere, tracing electrical faults can be a pain. I ended up just taking mine to a workshop, and they sorted it out pretty quickly. It may cost around 95€.

Appreciate the help! Sounds like I'm at that point too. Taking it to a shop is probably the best bet. I’ll let you know what they find.

Hey, I had something similar happen on my Vios. Was it all of a sudden, or did it start gradually? Did you check the fuse box? It might be a blown fuse related to the car locks or the security system. Is it possible that it could be related to the car alarm?
