Vios Check Engine Light

Hi, I have a 2016 Toyota Vios with a gasoline engine and about 66k km. Recently, the check engine light came on. I suspect it's a defective hose connection from the pump to the valve. Has anyone experienced something similar?

Hey, I had a similar issue with my Vios. Check engine light kept popping up. Have you noticed any changes in your car's performance, like rough idling or reduced power, or weird manifold pressure data? It could be a vacuum leak affecting the air supply to the throttle body. When my light was on, I went through hoops trying to figure it out.

Thanks for the quick reply! I haven't really noticed any significant performance changes, but I'll definitely pay closer attention now. Where exactly should I be looking for this potential vacuum leak? I'm not super familiar with the engine layout.

Honestly, unless you're comfortable tinkering, it might be best to get it checked out by a professional. I spent ages trying to find the leak myself, and eventually just took it to a workshop. Turned out a small hose was cracked. They replaced it and cleared the code.

Okay, I appreciate the advice! I'll take your suggestion and book an appointment with a workshop. Hopefully, it's something simple like a hose replacement, and not something too costly. I saw a final repair cost online of 175€! Thanks again for the help!
