Vios Loud Exhaust After Cold Start

I'm having a strange issue with my 2013 Toyota Vios (gasoline engine). It only has 30543 km on it. Recently, I've noticed the exhaust is louder than usual, especially after a cold start – it sounds almost noisy. I also have an error stored in the error memory. I took it to a local mechanic, and he suspects the exhaust flaps aren't working correctly, possibly defective. Anyone else experienced this?

Thanks for the quick reply! Unfortunately, I don't know the exact error code offhand. The mechanic just mentioned it indicated a problem with the exhaust flap. Do you know if your issue also involved the flap motor or actuator? Any idea what the cause was in your case?

I didn't get the error code either. However, the workshop determined that an exhaust flap was defective. I would go to the workshop to get it checked out.
