Vios Rear Ventilation Flap Fault

Hi, I have a 2003 Toyota Vios with a gasoline engine. The rear ventilation flap seems faulty. I get an error stored in the error memory and the climate control is malfunctioning. The AC no longer cools. Could a defective cable or plug connection be the issue?

I had similar symptoms in my Vios. Is the air distribution also affected? Is your climate control automatic?

Yes, the air distribution is definitely playing up. And yes, it's the automatic climate control system.

Sounds like the same issue I faced. With these symptoms, and given that rear passengers also experience it, consider that the rear ventilation flap fault often stems from wiring issues. Based on my understanding, a repair should cost around 95€. I would strongly recommend taking it to a trusted workshop.
