Vios Siren Communication Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2007 Toyota Vios owner is experiencing a siren communication fault, leading to a non-functional alarm system. The issue might be due to a bad cable or plug connection. Another Vios owner suggests checking the alarm controller connections, as a similar problem was resolved by addressing deeply buried wiring. The original owner plans to take the car to a workshop for professional assistance.

Thanks! Do you remember which connections on the alarm controller you checked? I want to avoid messing with other stuff. I'm thinking it could be a wiring issue.

I recall it involved some deeply buried wiring, a veritable Medusa's head of cables! Honestly, unless you are comfortable diving deep, a workshop might be best. I would hate for your vehicle security to be further compromised.

Thanks for confirming it could be a big job. I'll take your advice and bring it to a workshop. I got an estimate of 95€, which seems reasonable. Thanks again!

Interesting. I have a Vios as well and faced something similar. It was like the car suddenly forgot it even had an alarm system. Could you check the alarm controller connections? That was the problem for me.
