Volvo S60 check engine light and rough idle

I'm at my wit's end! My 2020 Volvo S60 with a gasoline engine is giving me fits. The check engine light keeps popping on, and I suspect it's something to do with the air valve. I've noticed some rough idling too, almost like the engine wants to stall. Given the mileage is 224081 km, could this be related to the pump to valve hose connection? Has anyone else encountered this?

I had a similar check engine light and idle problem with my S60. Was your error code pointing to a vacuum leak, perchance?

That's interesting! Yes, I believe it mentioned something about a vacuum leak. How did you resolve your issue? I'm trying to avoid a costly repair, but this is driving me nuts!

Yep, vacuum leak it is! It turned out to be a faulty hose connection for me, the one going to the air valve. It's a pain to get to. I suggest you have a workshop take a look.

Thanks a million! I took your advice and visited the workshop. You were spot on – it was indeed the hose connection to the air valve! They replaced it and the check engine light is gone. The entire procedure cost me 175€. I really appreciate your input!
