Volvo S60 check engine light and rough idle
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Volvo S60 owner experienced a persistent check engine light and rough idling, suspecting an issue with the air valve. The problem was identified as a vacuum leak, specifically a faulty hose connection to the air valve. After visiting a workshop and replacing the hose connection, the check engine light issue was resolved.

That's interesting! Yes, I believe it mentioned something about a vacuum leak. How did you resolve your issue? I'm trying to avoid a costly repair, but this is driving me nuts!

Yep, vacuum leak it is! It turned out to be a faulty hose connection for me, the one going to the air valve. It's a pain to get to. I suggest you have a workshop take a look.

Thanks a million! I took your advice and visited the workshop. You were spot on – it was indeed the hose connection to the air valve! They replaced it and the check engine light is gone. The entire procedure cost me 175€. I really appreciate your input!

I had a similar check engine light and idle problem with my S60. Was your error code pointing to a vacuum leak, perchance?
