Volvo S60 reduced engine power
Summary of the thread
A 2017 Volvo S60 hybrid is experiencing reduced engine power and a check engine light, with diagnostics indicating a defective throttle valve. The issue might also involve the accelerator pedal module or its electronics. A similar case was resolved by replacing the throttle valve, costing around 265€, and it is suggested to check the air flow before replacing the module.

Yeah, there's a slight response delay. I thought I was imagining it. And fuel consumption is definitely up. What was the fix?

Sounds like the same problem. I wasn't comfortable trying to fix it myself, so I took it to a workshop. They confirmed it was the throttle valve and replaced it. Cost me around 265€. I would recommend checking the air flow before replacing the module.

Thanks for the input. I'll get it checked out professionally. Ended up paying 265€ for the replacement as well. Appreciate the help!

Hey, I had a similar issue with my S60. Was getting the same 'reduced engine power' message. Was there a delay when you press the gas pedal and does your fuel efficiency seem worse?
