Misfires, eh? I haven't specifically checked for those. How would I go about diagnosing that? Did replacing the injectors solve the problem on your BMW?

Yeah, replacing the injectors did the trick for me. Before you dive in, though, maybe get a diagnostic check done. Could be a simple fix, but it's best to be sure. A workshop should be able to pinpoint the problem.

Thanks for the tip! I took it to a shop and turns out you were spot on. It was indeed a defective injection nozzle – dirty as hell. Replacement cost me 515€. Runs like a dream now!

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my old BMW 320d. Rough idling, poor starting. Have you checked for any misfires? With the mileage, an injector issue is plausible.
