Volvo S80 Oxygen Sensor Heater Issue

I'm experiencing a problem with my 2011 Volvo S80 diesel. The check engine light is on, and the error memory indicates an issue with the oxygen sensor heater. Fuel consumption has also increased. The car has 71859 km on the clock. I suspect a defective cable or plug connection. Has anyone encountered something similar?

I have a S80 and had a similar problem with the check engine light and increased fuel consumption. I would check the oxygen sensors. Is the error message indicating a specific sensor?

The error message refers to the oxygen sensor heater. Is that the same issue you had? I'm just trying to narrow down the possibilities before taking it in.

Yes, the error was also related to the oxygen sensor heater element. Unfortunately, I was not able to fix it myself and ended up going to the workshop. They replaced the sensor and the problem was solved.

Thank you for the information. It seems a visit to the workshop is inevitable. I had to pay 95€ for repair. Good to know what to expect.
