Volvo S90 starting problem

My 2020 Volvo S90 diesel isn't starting. I'm getting an 'Engine control malfunction' warning. Mileage is at 222244 km. I suspect loose battery cable connections.

Had a similar issue with my 2016 Opel Astra. 'Check engine' light came on, and it wouldn't start. Did you check the battery terminals for corrosion?

Terminals look clean. By 'corrosion', do you mean white, powdery stuff, or something else?

LuxeRider

Yeah, the white stuff. But if they're clean, and the engine still won't turn over, it might be an ECU issue. I'd get it checked by a workshop.
