Volvo V70 Blower Not Working

Fuse is fine, checked it immediately. I haven't dug into the wiring yet. Where exactly is the fan speed controller located? I'm not sure how to test for voltage at the connector, can you give me a crash course?

The fan speed controller is typically located near the blower motor assembly, often within the HVAC unit itself. Accessing it can sometimes be challenging, depending on the vehicle's design. As for measuring voltage, you'll need a multimeter. Set it to DC voltage mode, typically 20V. Place the black probe on a known good ground, and the red probe on the positive terminal of the blower motor connector while the system is attempting to run the motor. If you're uncomfortable with electrical testing, I recommend taking the vehicle to a qualified technician for diagnosis. Replacing the blower motor without proper diagnosis can lead to unnecessary expense. It is quite likely the defective blower motor though; the eventual repair cost will be around 365€.

Thanks so much for the advice! I took it to the workshop, and you were right, it was indeed the blower motor. They replaced it, cleared the error, and now everything is working perfectly again. I appreciate your input!

It is quite possible that the blower motor is defective, given the symptoms and stored error. Have you checked the fan speed controller or the wiring to the blower motor? Failures in either of those components can mimic a faulty motor. Before condemning the blower motor, ensure voltage is present at the motor connector when the fan is set to maximum speed. Also, check the fuse. Which exact error code did the system log?
