Thanks for sharing your experience with the faulty injector. The symptoms you described match exactly what I am experiencing with my Eos. The rough running and airflow sensors readings are very similar. Did you have any other issues pop up since the repair was done? More specifically, how is your fuel economy now? Also, would you mind sharing what the total repair cost was? Just trying to get a rough idea before heading to the shop. My Eos is definitely due for some performance tuning work anyway, so might as well address everything at once. Really appreciate the detailed breakdown of what was done.

After getting the faulty injector replaced and the reset quantity drift compensation fixed at the shop, the car has been running perfectly. The fuel injection system now works as intended and I have not experienced any additional problems in the months since the repair. The fuel economy actually improved noticeably once the new injector was properly calibrated. The car sensors now show normal readings and the engine runs smooth without any rough spots. The system reset and compensation adjustment done by the mechanic resolved all the previous performance issues. The total repair came to 515€ which included: Diagnostics and testing, New injection valve replacement, Control unit recalibration, Final performance verification It was worth addressing this promptly before it could cause more extensive engine damage. Having the performance tuning done at the same time is a smart approach, as they can optimize everything while the system is opened up. Just make sure to find a shop that specializes in VW fuel injection systems and has the right diagnostic equipment.

I followed your advice and took my Eos to a certified VW specialist. Cannot thank you enough for helping me identify the issue beforehand. The mechanic confirmed exactly what you described, a faulty injector causing the drift compensation error. The repair cost came to 490€ total, which included the replacement injector, system reset, and full compensation adjustment. The shop also performed basic performance tuning while they had everything apart. What a difference in how the car runs now. The engine is smooth, no more check engine light, and fuel economy has improved significantly. The fuel injection system is working perfectly after the repair. My only regret is not addressing this sooner. Understanding the likely issue and repair costs helped me choose a qualified shop and avoid getting overcharged. Really appreciate the detailed advice that helped me make an informed decision.

Had similar issues with my 2010 VW Passat diesel at 125000km. The drift compensation error pointed directly to a faulty injector, which turned out to be a common problem requiring immediate attention. The system reset and car sensors initially showed minimal deviation, but the engine kept running rough. Performance tuning measures did not resolve the issue. After proper diagnosis, it became clear the injection valve was failing, causing uneven fuel distribution. The repair involved: Complete diagnostics on all injectors, Replacement of one defective fuel injector, Reset of the injection control unit, Compensation adjustment of the new injector This was definitely a serious repair that required specialized equipment and expertise. Driving with faulty injectors risks further engine damage and increased fuel consumption. The repair restored proper engine performance and eliminated the check engine warning. Would strongly recommend having this checked soon, as continuing to drive with injector issues can lead to more extensive engine damage. Make sure to find a shop with experience in VW diesel injection systems and proper diagnostic tools for drift compensation testing.
