Thanks for sharing your experience with the VW CC transmission failure. I just got my Eos back from the shop last week with almost identical issues, rough shifting and shift lock problems. The mechanic also found faulty transmission sensors and had to replace the control module. Did your transmission issues completely resolve after the repairs? Would be helpful to know if you remember the total cost and if any other problems showed up since getting it fixed. Currently monitoring mine closely to make sure everything stays working properly with the automatic transmission.

Thanks for following up about your VW Eos repair. After replacing the control unit and addressing the transmission sensor issues, my car has been running perfectly for over a year now. The automatic transmission shifts smoothly, and the gear shifter works exactly as it should when engaging park. The total repair cost was 1000€ for the control unit replacement, which included reprogramming and calibration. The transmission repair resolved all the initial problems, including the park brake engagement issues. No additional transmission failure symptoms have occurred since the fix. Keep monitoring your Eos, but from my experience, once the control unit is properly replaced and programmed, these transmission issues typically dont return. The key was having a qualified shop diagnose and repair the specific electronic components rather than attempting any major mechanical transmission repairs. The peace of mind was worth the investment, considering how a complete transmission failure could have cost significantly more. The gear shifter now feels solid and precise, which is exactly how it should be.

Thanks for the advice. After visiting a VW specialist shop, they diagnosed and fixed my Eos transmission issues. The mechanic found multiple problems including faulty transmission sensors and a failing control module, just as suggested. The repair took 3 days total. They had to order specific parts for the automatic transmission system. Total cost came to 1200€ including labor. The gear shifter now feels solid when shifting into neutral position or park, and the rough shifting between gears is completely gone. What a relief to have this fixed properly. The transmission now works perfectly, no more check engine light or shift lock problems. Much better experience with this mechanic who actually took time to properly diagnose the underlying transmission failure signs rather than just doing quick fixes. Will keep monitoring how it runs, but so far very happy with the repair results. Thanks again for steering me toward getting it properly diagnosed by transmission specialists.

Had similar transmission issues with a 2015 VW CC TSI. The symptoms match what I experienced, rough shifting, check engine light, and problematic gear selector movement. The root cause turned out to be a failed transmission sensor combined with a deteriorating control module. The automatic transmission was showing early signs of failure due to these electronic components, not mechanical wear. The fix required: Replacing the transmission control unit, Installing new transmission sensors, Recalibrating the entire transmission system, Updating the transmission software This was a serious repair job taking several days at the shop. The transmission failure signs were clear indicators of potential major damage if left unaddressed. The park brake system was also affected since it interfaces with the transmission control unit. Would strongly recommend having it diagnosed at a shop that specializes in VW automatic transmission repairs. These symptoms typically worsen quickly and can lead to complete transmission failure if not properly repaired. Make sure they perform a full diagnostic scan specifically focused on the transmission sensor data and control unit communication before starting any repairs.
