VW Golf Cabrio cruise control no longer works

Hey guys, I have a problem with my VW Golf gasoline, year 2017. My cruise control does not work anymore, errors are stored but no code displayed. I think this could be the cruise control not working, but not sure. Have any of you had the same problem and know how to fix it? What was your experience at the garage? Any tips and help would be appreciated. Thanks a lot!

Hi, I had a similar problem with my 2015 VW Passat. I describe myself as someone with some experience with cars. I also went to the garage at the time because I couldn't fix the problem myself. It turned out that the control unit was defective, which cost me 1000 euros. After this repair, the cruise control worked perfectly again. Maybe that will help you? What exact engine and gearbox does your Golf have? I might be able to give you more specific tips.

Hey, thanks for your feedback. Mine has the 1.4 TSI engine and a manual gearbox. Interesting that you had this problem too. A defective control unit could really be the cause. At the last service 98765 km ago, everything was still in order. Of course, a repair like this is always annoying, especially when it's so expensive. Hopefully I'll find a solution quickly. Thanks again for the tip, I really appreciate it!

Hi, I'm glad if my information could be helpful to you. Hmmm, your model is not identical to mine, but the problem seems to be similar. It could really be the control unit. With such a high mileage, this can happen. See if you can find a good garage, maybe they can fix it cheaper. It's always tricky with things like this, especially if you don't know much about it yourself. Good luck with it and hopefully you'll get your problem under control soon! It would be a real shame if the cruise control gave up the ghost completely. Let me know if you get any news. All the best, dude!

Yes, that would be a real shame! Your information was super helpful, thanks again. I'll see if I can find a good workshop and see what they think. And I'll keep you posted if I find out anything new. Until then, thanks for your help, and hopefully the problem will be solved soon! Take care!
