VW Golf GTI Performance Stalling and Shaking Issues
Summary of the thread
A 2018 VW Golf GTI Performance is experiencing stalling and shaking issues while idling, with a fault code indicating low fuel rail pressure. Despite upgrading the high-pressure fuel pump and replacing the fuel rail pressure sensor, the problem persists. Possible causes include issues with the low-pressure fuel pump, fuel filter, or electrical connections. Suggested solutions involve checking for blockages, inspecting fuel lines, and examining wiring and connectors for corrosion or loose connections, particularly at the fuel rail pressure sensor and high-pressure fuel pump.

Check the low-pressure fuel pump and fuel filter for any blockages or issues, as they can affect fuel delivery to the high-pressure system. Ensure the fuel lines are not kinked or damaged. Let me know if this helps or if you have any further questions.
I have thought of that as well however the car would run fine for 2-3 days, then fluctuate on idle the 4th day and then run fine again and so on. Wouldn’t a blocked fuel filter give a constant issue?

Intermittent issues like this can sometimes be caused by electrical problems. Check the wiring and connectors related to the fuel system for any signs of corrosion or loose connections. Pay special attention to the ground connections. Let me know if this resolves the issue or if you need further assistance.

Any idea which connector I should start with first?
Start by inspecting the connectors at the fuel rail pressure sensor and the high-pressure fuel pump, as these are directly related to the fault code you received. Make sure they are clean, secure, and free from corrosion. Let me know how it goes or if you have more questions.
