Thanks for sharing your experience. Same happened to my Nivus last winter, dealer visit followed by electrical gremlins everywhere. Your transport mode theory makes total sense. Took it back and got it sorted with a key fob reprogramming and full system reset. The electrical issues cleared up right after. Wonder if you remember roughly what the fix cost you? Also, has everything stayed stable since the repair? Think I might schedule another check soon just to make sure all vehicle settings are still properly configured. These software-related problems can be tricky to diagnose.

Had zero costs since the car electronics issue was covered under warranty. After the transport mode fix, all systems have worked flawlessly for over 6 months now. The engine start sequence is normal, navigation runs perfectly, and no more unusual electrical warnings appear on the dash. The dealer performed a complete car configuration reset plus software update on all control modules. This resolved the transport mode active status that was causing the problems. If your Nivus is still under warranty, definitely take it back for a thorough check, these vehicle electronics issues are best handled by the dealer diagnostic equipment. Worth mentioning that after the fix, I keep a close eye on any unusual system behavior after dealer visits. Sometimes basic maintenance can trigger these electronic quirks if transport mode gets accidentally reactivated during service procedures.

Thanks for the update. Just got back from the mechanic today actually. The immobilizer system was acting up too, which they fixed during the full diagnostic scan. Total bill came to 450€ for the software update and system reconfiguration. My automotive tech found the exact same issue you mentioned, transport mode got partially reactivated during the last service. He showed me the diagnostic readout and it was pretty clear what caused all those electrical gremlins. The engine start is smooth now, navigation works perfectly, and all those unusual warning lights are gone. Really glad I took it in before any permanent damage happened to the electronics. Will definitely keep an eye on it after future service visits.

Had a similar situation with my 2017 VW T-Roc 1.5 TSI. Transport mode definitely can cause these symptoms, especially the navigation system shutdown and electrical fault warnings. The issue required a complete vehicle setting reconfiguration at the service center. While transport mode deactivation is typically done during pre-delivery inspection, sometimes the automotive software system maintains certain transport mode parameters, particularly after major service work or battery disconnection. This needed a full diagnostic check with the latest VW scan tool to properly reset all modules and clear any stored fault codes. The complete procedure took about 2 hours, including car configuration verification and system tests. This was not a major mechanical issue, but rather a software-related problem that required proper dealer intervention. Main steps included: Full system scan, Transport mode deactivation check, Module recalibration, Software update for affected systems, Final verification of all electrical systems Worth noting that driving with active transport mode can trigger various electrical faults and should be addressed promptly to prevent any long-term issues with vehicle electronics.
