VW Passat station wagon starts badly

Hi guys, I have a strange problem with my 2005 VW Passat. The check engine light comes on, the car stalls by itself, it starts badly when cold, loses power, the engine runs unevenly and there are jerks when accelerating. Sometimes it doesn't even start at all. I thought that the fuel pump might be defective. Have any of you had similar experiences and can help me? How did you get the problem fixed in the workshop? Hi, I had a similar problem with my 2003 VW Golf. I'm not a car professional, but I do have a bit of experience. My garage diagnosed that the software values for the fuel pump were wrong. After reprogramming the software, my car ran like clockwork again. That cost me about 45 euros. Can you give me more information about your Passat, e.g. how many kilometers it has already driven and when you were last in the workshop? That might help me to answer you more clearly.
