Thanks for sharing your experience. Glad to hear you also resolved this transport mode issue with your T-Roc. I got my Taigo fixed last week and the car electronics are now working perfectly, no more warning lights or navigation problems. The service technician confirmed it was exactly the same problem with an accidentally activated transport mode during routine maintenance. They performed a complete vehicle setting reset and system diagnostic check. Do you remember roughly how much you paid for the fix? Mine was resolved but wondering if the cost was in line with what others experienced. Also curious if youve had any electrical quirks pop up since getting it sorted? Just want to make sure all these automotive system issues are fully behind me before I need to take any longer trips.

Glad to hear your Taigo is running properly now. After my T-Roc had the transport mode issue fixed, everything has worked flawlessly with no electrical problems whatsoever. The car electronics have been stable and all systems function as intended. Since your vehicle is new, having the transport mode deactivated should have been covered under warranty, just like in my case where the cost was 0€. The dealership should handle these configuration issues at no charge, especially when they stem from incorrect service procedures. The immobilizer and other safety features are all functioning normally now that the transport mode has been properly deactivated. To avoid future issues, make sure any mechanic performing work on your car has access to the proper diagnostic equipment for these specialized software tasks. You should be all set for those longer trips. The engine start sequence and all electronic functions should work reliably now that the system configuration has been properly restored to normal operating mode.

Thanks everyone for the help. Wanted to share how this got resolved since others might run into something similar. Took the car to a certified dealer instead of going back to the original mechanic. The diagnostic check confirmed the transport mode issue right away. The tech showed me how this factory setting was accidentally reactivated during the previous service. The fix took about an hour, they did a full system reset and ran tests on all the electrical components. Total cost was 85€ for the diagnostic work since my warranty had just expired. The car configuration is now back to normal and everything works perfectly, navigation, warning systems, the whole deal. No electrical issues since then and the engine start works smoothly every time. Really glad I got this sorted quickly before taking any road trips. Definitely learned to be more careful about who works on the car electronics going forward.

Had a similar situation with my 2018 VW T-Roc TSI. The electrical system started showing multiple warnings after routine maintenance. A diagnostic check revealed the transport mode was still active, this is a factory setting that limits certain vehicle functions. The transport mode should have been deactivated during the pre-delivery inspection. When active, it can cause navigation system failures and trigger various electrical malfunction warnings. This typically requires proper deactivation through the diagnostic system, not just a simple software update. In my case, it was a serious issue because the mechanic had accidentally reactivated the transport mode while doing other work. The car electronics were essentially running in a limited state, which could have led to more problems if left unchecked. The fix required: Full system diagnostic check, Proper deactivation of transport mode, Reset of the vehicle control modules, Verification of all electrical systems Would suggest getting this checked by a certified dealer who has access to the proper diagnostic equipment. The immobilizer and other safety systems can be affected, so its best to address this promptly.
