Thanks for sharing your experience with the VW Polo mount issue. The symptoms match mine exactly, so this is really helpful. I will have all mounting brackets checked as you suggested. Before I take it to the shop, could you share how much the repair cost you? Also wondering if you had any other mount wear problems since getting it fixed?

Thanks for asking about the follow-up. Since getting the mount issue diagnosed, the repair was actually simpler than expected. The rough idling turned out to be related to a faulty cable connection affecting the defective engine mount sensors. The fix only cost 95€ and completely resolved the vibration issues. After the repair, all mount-related problems disappeared and the car runs smoothly again. The mechanic did a thorough check of all rubber mounts while the car was in, and fortunately found no additional mount wear that needed attention. The initial symptoms we both experienced were very similar, but your case might be different. Having a proper diagnosis is crucial since multiple issues can cause similar vibration problems. Getting it checked by a qualified mechanic will ensure you target the actual problem rather than replacing parts unnecessarily. No additional mount-related problems have surfaced in the months since the repair. Regular inspections of the mounting system during maintenance should help catch any future issues early.

Thanks for the helpful advice. I took the car to a certified mechanic who confirmed the motor mount diagnosis. The passenger side mounting bracket was completely worn, causing the engine movement. Total repair came to 280€ including labor and parts. The mechanic found the previous shop had actually damaged one of the engine mount bolts during their work, which accelerated the wear. They showed me the defective engine mount, the rubber was totally deteriorated. After replacing both mounts, the rough idle is completely gone. The error code cleared and the car runs perfectly smooth now, even with the AC on. Really glad I got this sorted before it caused more problems. For anyone else with similar symptoms, definitely worth getting the mounts checked by a qualified shop. The repair was worth every cent to fix that annoying vibration. Will be doing regular mount inspections during maintenance from now on.

Had similar symptoms on a 2014 VW Polo TSI. The vibration issues started gradually during idle, especially noticeable when the AC was running. The motor mount was indeed the culprit, specifically the passenger side engine mount had deteriorated. A failed mount will typically cause excessive movement and vibration transfer to the chassis. These symptoms match your description perfectly, and the error code likely relates to sensor readings being affected by the excessive engine movement. The transmission mount was also inspected during repair as these components often wear as a set. The rubber bushings were completely worn out, a common issue on these VW engines. It required replacing both the defective engine mount and transmission mount assembly. Not a quick roadside fix, proper alignment and torque specifications are crucial. The entire repair involved removing several components to access the mounting points. After replacement, the idle smoothed out completely and the error code cleared. Given your mileage, while unusual, mount failure can occur due to environmental factors or previous repair work affecting the mounting system integrity. Would suggest getting it properly diagnosed at a VW specialist since mount issues can lead to additional component stress if left unchecked.
