Thanks for sharing your experience. I faced almost identical issues on my Virtus too. After diagnosing the problem, the yaw rate sensor was faulty and needed replacement. The diagnostic scan revealed multiple error codes related to the stability system. How much did the repair cost in your case? Has everything worked properly since the fix? Asking because after my initial repair, the safety warning light came back on briefly, though it resolved after a system recalibration.

After the repair at a certified shop, my electronic stability system has worked flawlessly. The complete fix, including the affected control unit replacement and diagnostic scan work, came to 1000€. The lateral acceleration sensor fault that initially triggered my ABS and traction control warnings is now completely resolved. The repair shop performed a thorough recalibration of all connected systems to ensure proper communication between components. Since then, no safety warning lights have reappeared and the yaw rate measurements remain stable. The investment was worth it considering the vital role these systems play in vehicle safety. The temporary warning light you experienced after repair is common as the system sometimes needs time to fully adapt after recalibration. If it stays off now, the repair was likely successful. Just keep monitoring to ensure all stability control functions remain operational.

Just got back from the certified shop. The wheel alignment and lateral sensor replacement cost me 850€, including a full system diagnostic. The mechanic showed me how the faulty sensor was affecting vehicle stability and explained the recalibration process. The traction control and ABS now work perfectly. They ran several tests to confirm the steering angle sensor was properly communicating with the control unit. The repair quality seems much better than my previous experience, they even provided a detailed report of all fixed components and calibration data. What a relief to have this resolved properly. The stability system responds correctly now, and no more warning lights on the dash. Thanks again for helping me understand what needed checking. Definitely worth paying for certified expertise when dealing with these complex electronic systems.

Had the same electronic stability issues on my VW Jetta 2017 gasoline model. The lateral sensor malfunction triggered both ABS and traction control warnings. The root cause was a damaged wiring harness connecting to the control unit, which affected the entire safety warning system. The repair involved replacing the affected control unit and recalibrating the steering angle sensor. This is a serious issue since it compromises essential safety features like ABS and electronic stability control. When these systems fail, the car loses crucial accident prevention capabilities. The fix requires specialized diagnostic equipment to properly sync the new components with the car's computer system. A complete system reset was necessary after installation to ensure all sensors communicated correctly. Important points to check: Get the specific fault codes read, Have wiring harness inspected for damage, Test lateral sensor connections, Verify steering angle sensor calibration, Confirm ABS module functionality This type of repair should only be done at a shop with proper VW diagnostic tools and certification. The electronic control systems are too complex for general repair shops.
