Thanks for sharing your experience with the battery sensor issue. That sounds exactly like what I was dealing with. The symptoms match perfectly with what I experienced. The electrical system problems were really concerning before I got them sorted out. Did you remember roughly how much the repair cost for the sensor replacement and system recalibration? Also curious if youve had any discharged battery issues or other electrical problems since getting it fixed?

Since having the faulty battery sensor replaced and the system recalibrated, my Jeep Grand Cherokee has been running perfectly with no battery drain issues. The repair cost was 315 Euro which covered the diagnostic work, new sensor, and complete system calibration. The vehicle battery is now maintaining proper charge levels and all those concerning electrical symptoms, flickering lights, error messages, hard starts, have completely disappeared. The heavily discharged battery problem was definitely caused by that defective sensor sending wrong signals to the charging system. The repair was worth every cent since it resolved all the charging system problems. The battery now functions as it should, and I have not experienced any electrical issues in the months since the fix. It really shows how a seemingly small sensor can cause widespread electrical system problems if not addressed properly.

After getting your feedback about the battery sensor, I took my Wagoneer to a different mechanic who specializes in electrical systems. They ran a complete diagnostic and found the exact same issue, a faulty battery management sensor causing all those problems with my vehicle battery. The total repair came to 290 Euro, which covered the new sensor, calibration, and testing. The mechanic completed everything in about 3 hours. What a relief to have it fixed properly. No more flickering lights or battery drain warnings on the dash. The car starts perfectly now and all electrical systems are working normally. This experience taught me that sometimes the obvious solution, like cleaning battery terminals or just replacing the battery, isnt always the right fix. Having a proper diagnostic test done by someone who knows these systems was definitely worth it.

I experienced similar symptoms with my 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The vehicle battery warning signs were nearly identical, flickering lights, hard starts, and dashboard errors. After multiple diagnostic tests, the issue was traced to a faulty battery management sensor, not the battery itself. The battery sensor monitors charging status and power flow. When defective, it sends incorrect readings to the computer, triggering false low battery warnings even with a healthy battery. This causes the system to malfunction, affecting multiple electrical components. In my case, the repair required: Complete diagnostic scan, Battery load testing, Replacement of the battery monitoring sensor, Recalibration of the charging system This was a serious electrical issue that needed immediate attention to prevent potential system damage. Simply cleaning battery terminals or replacing the battery would not have resolved it. The faulty sensor can drain power and eventually damage a good battery if left unchecked. Consider having a specialized diagnostic test focused on the charging system and battery management sensors, rather than just basic battery testing.
