Washer Fluid Sensor Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2005 Honda Civic diesel displayed a persistent 'Washer Fluid Low' warning despite being refilled, and the washer system was non-functional. Possible causes included a faulty fluid level sensor, a defective washer motor, or blockages in the lines. The issue was resolved at a workshop, where a defective windshield washer motor was identified and repaired for 25€.

Thanks, I'm not great with electrical stuff. Where's the fluid level sensor, and can I see it easily? Also, where's the washer motor and how do I check its voltage without taking apart the car? And yes, an error is stored in the error memory. Is it related?

The level sensor is usually on or in the reservoir. Look for a small electrical connector. The motor is usually attached to the reservoir, or close by. Since there's an error, the sensor or motor probably failed. It could be low fluid, or a faulty sensor. Since you're not experienced with electrical work, I'd take it to a workshop. They can check the sensor, motor, and wiring properly.

Thanks for the advice. I brought it to a local workshop. It was a defective windshield washer motor. The repair was 25€ for parts and labor. Thanks again!

The warning light and non-functional system suggest a few things. First, check the fluid level sensor. It may be faulty, even with a full reservoir. Second, check the washer motor. You should hear it when you try to use it. If not, test the motor's electrical connector for voltage. Finally, check for kinks or blockages in the lines. Is an error stored in the error memory?
