Washer fluid sensor issue Peugeot 508
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Peugeot 508 hybrid is experiencing a persistent 'washer fluid low' warning despite a full reservoir, and the windshield washer system is not functioning. Possible causes include a faulty or gunked-up fluid level sensor and a non-operational pump. Suggested solutions involve checking and possibly cleaning or replacing the fluid level sensor and pump, with a workshop visit recommended for proper diagnosis and repair.

I haven't checked the fluid level sensor specifically. Could you give me more detail about where it is and how to test it? I don't hear the pump running.

No pump noise isn't great. The sensor is usually at the bottom of the reservoir, accessible from the wheel well. Since the pump is silent and the level sensor might be faulty, a workshop visit is probably best for a proper diagnosis. I had to replace the pump and sensor, but it was a cheap fix.

Thanks for the advice. Given the lack of pump activity, I'll schedule a workshop visit. For anyone else with this issue, the level sensor connector was corroded. Cleaning it cost 25€.

I had something similar with my Peugeot 508, though it was an older model. Did you check the fluid level sensor? They can get gunked up or fail. Does the pump make noise when you try to use the windshield washer?
