Weak engine and ABS/DSC error in the Skoda Octavia 2009
(Translated from German)
Summary of the thread
A 2009 Skoda Octavia is experiencing decreased engine power, an active ABS warning light, and non-functional traction and ABS systems. The suspected issue is related to the supply voltage to the speed controller. A similar case involved a faulty ABS sensor, which, when replaced, resolved the problem. It is recommended to have the vehicle checked at a garage to confirm and address the issue.

Hi, thanks for your feedback! It does sound like the same problem I'm having with my Octavia. Can you remember how much you paid for the repair? And have you had any other problems with the ABS/DSC system since the repair? Looking forward to your answer!

Hey, sure, I still remember that! The repair cost me €170. The component was defective. The sensor in the component was also integrated and therefore had to be completely replaced. Since the mechanic did this, the ABS has been working perfectly again. So far I have had no further problems. This fault with the speed guide was definitely to blame. I hope this helps you and you get it sorted just as easily! Good luck!

Hey, thanks for the helpful info! I think that will probably be the problem with my Skoda too. 170 € is definitely worth it. I'll have it checked at the garage then. Thanks again and I hope I can get out of this so easily! Have a nice day!

Hi, I recently had a similar problem with my 2012 Skoda Superb. I also had poor engine performance and the ABS light was on. The guys at the garage found a problem with the ABS sensor. They replaced it and then everything ran smoothly again. It was a serious matter, imagine what could happen. If I were you, I would have it checked at the garage.
