Wind Gear Shift Indicator Failure

Renault Wind (2010, gasoline) owner here. My gear shift indicator is dead. Symptoms: can't engage gears, transmission acts up, slips, grinds. Error code present, gear display blank. Suspect control unit. Anyone seen this?

Sounds familiar. I've got a Wind too. Had similar issues with the gearbox display going haywire and the gears behaving oddly. Was a pain. Any luck figuring out what's up?

Was it the control unit, like I suspect? How much did it set you back roughly?

Couldn't say for sure what the cause was, but I'd bet on the control unit. I didn't wanna tinker with it, so took it to the shop. They replaced some parts, and it was good to go. I'd recommend you do the same.

Thanks. Appreciated. Shop confirmed the defective control unit. Quoted 1000€. Seems like I'll be going down that road then.
