Wind outside temperature sensor issue

I own a 2012 Renault Wind with a gasoline engine and 180661 km. I'm having trouble with the outside temperature sensor. The error is stored, and the AC won't switch on. The spray nozzles freeze in cold temperatures, and the mirror heating doesn't work. I suspect a bad cable or plug. Has anyone else seen this?

I had something similar with my Wind. It’s like a domino effect, isn't it? One sensor goes, and suddenly half the car's climate control system is acting up. Have you checked the wiring harness near the sensor itself? Does the temperature displayed seem plausible, or is it completely off?

Thanks. The displayed temperature is completely implausible, way below the actual outside temperature. Which wiring harness do you mean specifically? The one directly at the sensor in the mirror?

Yes, the wiring harness directly connected to the sensor in the mirror housing. If the temperature reading is erratic, the sensor is likely faulty or the wiring is damaged. Given the symptoms and the error memory, it’s probably best to consult a professional workshop. They can accurately diagnose the problem and replace the sensor if needed.

Thanks for the helpful information. I'll consult a workshop for diagnostics and repair. The estimated repair cost is around 95€, which seems reasonable for a sensor replacement. I appreciate your assistance.
