Wind Oxygen Sensor Failure

My 2010 Renault Wind, gasoline engine, mileage 200299 km, has the check engine light on. Error memory says oxygen sensor heater failure, and fuel consumption is higher. Could a defective cable or plug connection be the cause?

I also drive a Wind. Did you check the oxygen sensor itself? I had similar symptoms, and it turned out to be the sensor.

Really? Was the fault traced to the heating element of the oxygen sensor, or was it something else?

Yes, it was the heating element. I had it checked in the workshop.

Thanks for the information. Diagnosis confirmed a faulty oxygen sensor. Repair cost me 95€.
