Wind seat heating failure
Summary of the thread
The seat heating in a 2012 Renault Wind with a gasoline engine was not working, specifically affecting the driver's seat. The issue was suspected to be a faulty heating mat, as indicated by an error code. The problem was confirmed by a workshop, where the defective seat heating mat was replaced.

It's only the driver's seat. I thought about the fuse, but with the error code, I figured a fuse wouldn't trigger that. Can you explain the Christmas lights analogy more?

Okay, driver's seat only strengthens the case for a bad heating element. Think of the heating element like a dodgy Christmas light. If it's gone, the circuit's broken just for that seat. The error code is like the Christmas tree flashing a warning because a light is out! Seriously though, with the error code and only one seat affected, I'd suggest a workshop. They'll pinpoint it.

The analogy helped. I took it to my local workshop. The seat heating mat was defective, and I had it replaced. Total cost was 390€.

Hey! Chilly situation! Is it both seats, or just one? If it's just one, that points to the heating element. Like when one lightbulb goes out on Christmas lights. Could also be a fuse, have you checked those?
